 I discovered Silver City in 2001, and after living all over the U.S. and Mexico, chose Silver City as my favorite place to settle down with my family and live permanently.
My husband, David, has a background in building and remodeling and is currently the Building Official for the Town of Silver City. He is also a talented artist as well a complete Volkswagen nut.
On the personal side, I love watching my own property transform through our remodeling efforts, spending time with my kids--whether it's guitar or ballet lessons, riding around town in my husband's VW Thing, hanging out in the various coffee shops and cafés downtown, and even though I do this for a living now, I very much enjoy driving around and looking at property.
I entered real estate in 2006 after working with a friend and mentor who taught me a great deal about property development. I was inspired by his vision when it came to remodeling homes and figuring out the “best and highest use” for a piece of land. He encouraged me to see what this field was all about, and initiated me by having me market his $3 million dollar farm in Northern California. I really liked the work and learning about the details of his beautiful property. I also worked with some local REALTORS® and was impressed with their professionalism and integrity.
Prior to entering the field of real estate, I worked in property development and learned a great deal about developing, building, construction and property management. I also have considerable experience in marketing, web development, photography, graphic design, publications and customer service. And more recently I've been involved in nonprofit work which has included training individuals of nonprofits and helping them reach their potential.
I consider myself an individual and a real estate broker who uses good judgment, provides services of the highest standard and possesses strong interpersonal skills. In addition, I have a very strong technological background and the work I have done in the art and photography industry has given me an eye for detail and strong sense of design, aesthetics and the importance of presentation.
I really enjoy working with buyers, sellers and my fellow REALTORS® in Silver City and other cities. I love showing off the town of Silver City to newcomers, helping people find property they love, and helping sellers move on to new experiences.
